The Uno 3 electric scooter from BPG Motors looks like something out of a futuristic movie. In two-wheel mode, it resembles a unicycle moving at speeds of up to 15mph and is ideal for negotiating city traffic and tight spaces. With acceleration the third wheel automatically extends forward from between the two back wheels, transforming into motorcycle mode, reaching higher speeds up to 35mph. It might not be the fastest form of transportation but this electric mix-use vehicle will save on fuel bills and is compact enough to keep indoors.
The city of NYC has picked its next gen taxi fleet and they will be green at least in eco terms. Nissan won the contract to supply their NV200 vehicle specially designed to almost double fuel efficiency and reduce levels of smog in the city. They are also working on an electric version. With 13,000 taxis in the city covering over 500 million miles each year this is sure to make a positive eco impact on the city.
